About the author, Alma Lou (Straughn) Hall was raised up in South Alabama in the small community of Range. Her dad was a farmer, a home-owned blacksmith, and a partner in a cotton gin. Her mama was a homemaker. Alma Lou was the youngest of eight girls. Her memories are still alive with traditions taught her by her dad and mama. There were hard times, Depression times. and hard work to survive. But there were many good times. She still remembers the beautiful clouds, and the security as she looked up into the sky. She could almost see angels! The belief in the Truth of God's Word has always guided her. Her sayings are "What goes around, comes around," and "A circle has no end."
